COMSATS convened an international panel (Senator Dr. Sania Nishtar and other prominent science leaders listed on the event flyer) to highlight the role of women in STEM and policy levers that increase participation. CSS can repackage recordings as “Women in Tech” learning modules and run follow-up mentorship clinics for female students at COMSATS campuses.
Agenda: • Opening remarks & welcome • Panel discussion: “Women in Science: Challenges & Opportunities” • Highlighting policy levers & STEM participation initiatives • Q&A session with female leaders in academia & industry • Closing notes & next steps for mentorship programmes
Follow-ups for CSS: • Launch a semester mentorship programme pairing female undergraduate students with female alumni & industry mentors. • Host panel + skill workshop (resume, interview simulations) targeted at female students before placement season.
