Final Year Project Exhibition – Lahore Campus (July 2025)
The Department of Computer Science, supported by COMSATS Software Society Lahore,
hosted its Spring 2025 Final Year Project Exhibition on 14 July 2025. The exhibition featured
over 120 projects spanning software engineering, data science, cybersecurity, AI, IoT, and
mobile app development.
Students presented prototypes that addressed real-world problems ranging from AI-driven
medical diagnostics to blockchain-powered financial systems. Panels of judges included
faculty members, industry representatives, and alumni working in leading software houses. The
event served as both a talent showcase and a professional networking platform.
Among the standout projects were:
- A real-time flood monitoring system using IoT sensors.
- An AI-based sign language translator, developed in collaboration with DeafTawk.
- A blockchain-based academic credential verification system designed to counter degree
fraud.
The exhibition drew significant attention from software firms, several of which offered on-the-
spot internships and interviews to students with standout projects. Faculty emphasised how
these exhibitions highlight COMSATS’ role in shaping Pakistan’s next generation of tech
innovators.
For many students, this exhibition marked the culmination of years of dedication. For CSS, it
reinforced the society’s mission: to connect student innovation with industry impact. Plans
are in motion to scale the exhibition further by partnering with national tech expos and venture
capital networks in future editions.
